Swedish security and surveillance IP solutions provider Axis Communications expects to recruit approximately 10 new channel partners in Argentina during 2012, company director for Southern South America, Juan Pablo Tavil, told BNamericas.
Tavil said that Axis ended the year with approximately 12-15 active channels.
He added that the firm grew above the market in terms of revenues in Argentina last year. In 2011, Axis's South American revenues expanded 45% compared to 2010, he said.
The government vertical is a significant generator of revenues in the local market, particularly in urban videosurveillance projects, the executive added. Other verticals such as transport and retail are key for the company.
Axis has been involved in large videosurveillance projects, Tavil said. "We are deploying 1,200 cameras in the city of Buenos Aires as part of a project we have with the national government."
Axis provides network video solutions for professional installations. Its products and solutions focus on security surveillance and remote monitoring, and are based on open technology platforms.
Founded in 1984, Axis has offices in more than 20 countries.
